Life, Book, and Comic Stuff!

Heyo everyone it is Elizabeth again, and I come bearing this months news! I had hoped to do these updates weekly but honestly in the first few years of getting things started there isn't that much exciting news to share with people or post about. I'm still figuring out this social media stuff so bear with me please.

It's been nearly a year, this July actually, since I quit my nine to five to pursue my dream of being a story teller. In that time I have traveled farther than I ever have and I hope to keep this new momentum as I unfortunately must re-enter the work force. After a month of searching and waiting and putting the feelers out, I dread to say I have found a place to work part time. Whether this place will work out for any period of time we will see. It is the first to get back to me, but a place I had told myself I would never go again. However, due to life things my husband and I are looking to begin house searching, and those in this day and age are not cheap. So until my storytelling begins to bring in revenue, which I hope to be soon, I will have to put my foot on the path of less creative work. Or until I find another place to work, which I hope to be soon as well.

In the mean time, my creative work does take precedence. Hollows is wrapping up its beta phase, another week and I will be taking it in for its second to final re-vision/editing stage to gear it up for an editor! There are a few more scenes I'd like to polish, and some minor story telling things I'd like to make sure are just right but no more than a month or two and to the editor it will go!

As for my comic work, Daylighter, a pilot comic set in the zombie apocalypse I produce on Tapas is drawing to a close! A few more pages and the pilot will be complete! This will mark the first comic I've ever managed from beginning to end. They all end up these insanely long complicated stories and then never see the light of day. So I am very excited to see the end of a project and the growth and experience this endeavor has brought me over these last few months. What does the end of Daylighter mean? I have several comic goals I would like to obtain, including reaching the ability to monetize my comics, which would allow me to put more effort into the stories and artwork for them. Daylighter is certainly not dead after the pilot, should I reach some goals with it I would be more than willing to expand the story, but I also have another comic idea in the works so we will see which road we take.

If you want to read Daylighter click the name to be directed to it. (+18 years or older)

And for those here for my prompts:

Write something dark, but sexy without giving the subject away.

Paint the picture of something in the sky, but give it a horror twist.

"Listen I didn't do it!" (Finish the scene.)

For an extra challenge, combine all three prompts!

Goodluck! ♪(´▽`)
